Nautanki Bazaar - Miss Cuckoo
Pratibha Rastogi may be aging, but she refuses to acknowledge it, just as she refuses to accept her given name. She prefers to go by Miss Cuckoo, her former stage name.
Once a sought-after playback singer for numerous silver screen actresses, Cuckoo found herself facing an early retirement as times changed.
Her humorless son and daughter-in-law, viewing her as a burden, place her in an old age home for performing artists, aptly named Golden Oldies. Initially, the ever-cheerful and irrepressible Cuckoo copes with the transition in her own unique style.
However, she becomes increasingly depressed. That is, until a young man named Deviprakash Dwivedi arrives, searching for her once-famous voice.
